LEARN HOW TO:  Write dialogue

First write the dialogue without any tags.  Tweak the dialogue until the reader always knows who is talking and what's at stake.

Add actions that support or contradict what is being said.

Sprinkle in the occasional "said" or "asked" when needed to alter the pace.
